Cederberg Municipality Coastal Management By-law
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 12(3)(b) of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act No. 32 of 2000) that Cederberg Municipality intends to adopt the proposed Cederberg Municipality Coastal Management By-law.
The proposed By-law is therefore hereby published for public comment in order to allow the public an opportunity to make representations with regard to the proposed By-law. Public participation period from Thursday, 22nd September 2022 until Monday, 24th October 2022. This is the second opportunity for public representation.
Full particulars of the Cederberg Municipality Coastal Management By-law are available for inspection during normal office hours at the Municipal offices Environmental Management Division, 2A Voortrekker Street, Clanwilliam from 07:30 - 16:30 (Monday to Thursday) and 07:30 – 15:00 (Friday) as well as at the libraries in Clanwilliam, Citrusdal, Lambert’s bay, Eland’s bay and Graafwater.
Comments to the Cederberg Municipality Coastal Management By-law can be lodged in writing to Ms Danne Joubert, Environmental Officer, Cederberg Municipality, Private Bag X2, Clanwilliam 8135 or to firstname.lastname@example.org, by no later than Monday, the 24th October 2022.
Cederberg Municipality Coastal Management By-law is also available on the municipal website, www.cederbergmun.gov.za., under Documents / Policies and Bylaws
Persons who are unable to read or write can submit their comments verbally at the Environmental Management Offices, 2A Voortrekker Street, Clanwilliam, where they will be assisted by ‘n staff member to put their comment in writing. For further information please contact 027 482 8000.
