Executive Mayor and Ward Councillor for Lambertsbay handover 22 Houses to approved beneficiaries of Lambertsbay.

Cederberg Municipality, Executive Mayor and Ward Councillor for Lambertsbay handed over 22 Houses to approved beneficiaries of Lambertsbay.

Word of thanks given by the 3 beneficiaries, Mr Wilfred Consalves, Miss Deidre Van Wyk and Miss Annalize Friesley is summarizing “This is a great day for us and our entire family. This Mayor is doing something wonderful for us and we thank him.”

Mayor Farmer said: ““Today I could not contain my excitement, as I handed over the 22 Houses to our beneficiaries. The event allowed us to ensure that 22 families become homeowners. Today’s hand over is yet another clear demonstration of the Western Cape Government’s commitment to restoring dignity and creating a better life for the people of this province.

Mr Jan Meyer Councillor of Citrusdal, Ward 1 said: He recognises the hard work, Mayor Farmer is doing in his ward and wishing him a happy Birthday, this lead to community singing and praising him with a Happy Birthday song.

Our continued aim is to give our residents a sense of security and pride in having full ownership of their properties. I was honoured to share in the joy of a momentous occasion in the lives of these beneficiaries.” Commented Mayor Farmer.

Mrs Mouton, Acting Manager of Human Settlement Department confirms that handover of the houses will speed up each week as the houses is completed.
