Municipality provides Covid-19 relief for account holders on their Municipal Services Accounts

NOTICE: 65/2020

1. Normal Agreements

The Account Holder (Debtor) is expected to pay the monthly bill plus an extra amount on the arrears until the debt is settled. The Account Holder (Debtor) must make the necessary arrangement for repayment and thereafter the Municipality will not deduct any helpers (Ancillaries) from the prepaid purchases on power purchased by the account holder. This means that after 3 months the Municipality will deduct all aid deductions linked to your accounts. Please note, if this arrangement or agreement is not adhered to, the Municipality will deduct the supplementary allowances from the account and this deduction will be applied until the arrears have been settled in arrears.

For Residential Consumers only.

2. 25% Agreements

The Account Holder (Debtor) is expected to pay 25% of the arrears plus the monthly bill. Thereafter, the account holder must pay the monthly account plus an additional amount on the monthly account as agreed on a monthly basis until the account is settled. This means that after the Municipality has received the payment of the 25% plus the monthly bill payment, all aid deductions linked to your account will cease. Please note that if this arrangement or agreement is not adhered to, the Municipality will deduct the ancillary supplements from the account and this deduction will be applied until the arrears have been settled in full.

Only for  Residential Consumers and Small Businesses.

3. 50% Agreements

The Account Holder (Debtor) is expected to settle 50% of the outstanding amount (Excluding Property Tax) plus the monthly accounts. The Municipality will recover all interest charged to the account in full from the amount in arrears and also all aid deductions linked to your account immediately after the proof of payment has been delivered to us.

Residential Consumers, Small & Big Businesses Only .

4. Interest on Farms

The Executive Council will write off all interest on all Agricultural Farms that have Municipal accounts as soon as the arrears are settled.

 

MUNICIPAL PAYS POINTS OPEN ON SATURDAYS FROM  25 JULY 2020 BETWEEN 08:00 TO 12:00 FOR CLANWILLIAM & CITRUSDAL

Please note that the Clanwilliam and Citrusdal Payment Points / Cashiers and the Credit Control offices will be open on Saturdays, from 25 July 2020 between 08:00 and 12:00 for those who want to make payments or make instalment arrangements regarding their overdue account.
