NOTICE IN TERMS OF SECTION 33 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT MUNICIPAL FINANCE MANAGEMENT ACT 56 OF 2003

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in terms of section 33 of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Act, No. 56 of 2003 that the Cederberg Municipality intends entering into a 24 months contract relating to the compilation of the general valuation rolls and supplementary valuations rolls. The contract will impose financial obligations on the municipality for a period longer than three (3) financial years covered in the annual budget for the financial year 2024/25. Public comments on the proposed contract extensions are herewith sought.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN in accordance with Section 21A and Section 21 of the Local Government Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000 that –

(a) The local community and other interested persons are invited to submit comments or representations to the Cederberg Municipality in respect of the proposed contract extensions. Such comments or representations must be received by no later than 30 April 2024 via electronic mail on the email address provided below or be delivered to the mailing address provided hereunder.

(b) Copies of the original contract and information statement summarizing the Cederberg Municipality’s obligations in terms of the contract extension are available for inspection at SCM Office, 01 Plein Street, Clanwilliam and will also be accessible on www.cederbergmun.gov.za (official website of the Cederberg Municipality).

Comments or representations must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly endorsed “Proposed Extension of Contract CED 19/2020-2021: The compilation of the general valuation rolls and supplementary valuations rolls. and be deposited in Tender Box.

APPROVED 2024/2025 DRAFT BUDGET AND DRAFT FIFTH GENERATION INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT PLAN (IDP) 2024/2025

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 22(a) of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act No. 56 of 2003) and Section 18 of the Municipal Budget en Reporting Regulations 2008 respectively, that the Draft Budget for 2024/2025 was approved during the Council Meeting held on 28 March 2024. 

Notice is also hereby given in terms of Section 25(4) of the Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act No. 32 of 2000) that the Draft IDP for 2024/2025 was adopted during the Council Meeting held on 28 March 2024. 

In terms of Section 21A of the Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act no. 32 of 2000), the local community is invited to submit written comments or representations to the municipality in respect of the Draft Budget and Draft IDP 2024/2025, by no later than 30 April 2024.

The Council Resolution and all other relevant documentation are available during office hours at the municipal offices and libraries in Clanwilliam, Citrusdal, Graafwater, Lamberts Bay and Elands Bay. The said documentation will also be available on the website of the Municipality: www.cederbergmun.gov.za.

GOEDGEKEURDE 2024/2025 KONSEP BEGROTING EN KONSEP VYFDE GENERASIE GEÏNTEGREERDE ONTWIKKELINGSPLAN (GOP) 2024/2025

Kennis geskied hiermee ingevolge Artikel 22 van die Wet op Plaaslike Regering: Munisipale Finansiële Bestuur, 2003 (Wet No. 56 van 2003) en Artikel 18 van die Munisipale Begrotings en Verslagdoening Regulasies 2008 onderskeidelik, dat die Konsep Begroting vir 2024/2025 goedgekeur is gedurende die Raadsvergadering van 28 Maart 2024.

Kennis geskied ook hiermee ingevolge Artikel 25(4) van die Munisipale Stelsels Wet 2000 (Wet No. 32 van 2000) dat die Konsep GOP vir 2024/2025 aangeneem is gedurende die Raadsvergadering van 28 Maart 2024.

Ingevolge Artikel 21A van die Munisipale Stelsels Wet, 2000 (Wet No. 32 van 2000), word die gemeenskap genooi om ten opsigte van die Konsep Begroting en Konsep GOP 2024/2025 skriftelik kommentaar of vertoë te rig aan die munisipaliteit, teen nie later as 30 April 2024.

Die Raadsbesluit, en alle ander tersaaklike dokumentasie, is beskikbaar gedurende kantoor ure by die munisipale kantore en biblioteke in Clanwilliam, Citrusdal, Graafwater, Lambertsbaai en Elandsbaai. Die gemelde dokumentasie sal ook beskikbaar wees op die webwerf van die Munisipaliteit: www.cederbergmun.gov.za.

2022/2023 ANNUAL REPORT: INVITATION TO SUBMIT INPUTS AND COMMENTS

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 21(a) of the Local Government Systems Act (Act 32 of 2000) and Section 127(5)(a) of the Municipal Finance Act (Act 56 of 2003) that the Annual Report in respect of the 2022/2023 financial year is submitted for public comment and input.

The Annual Report is available for inspection during office hours at the municipal offices and libraries in Clanwilliam, Citrusdal, Graafwater, Lamberts Bay and Elands Bay. The said documentation is also available on the website of the Municipality: www.cederbergmun.gov.za.

The public is invited to submit inputs, comments and make representations in connection with the annual report in writing and to submit not later than Monday, 22 April 2024 at 16h30 to:
