Cederberg Municipality Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer
Cederberg Municipality Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer
Cederberg Municipality is pleased to announce the appointment of Jerome Booysen as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Booysen brings an impressive 19 years of extended financial management experience, with 14 years spent in the private sector.
Mr. Booysen's professional journey began with an internship at the Development Bank of South Africa (DBSA). He holds an Honours degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing his Master's in Business Administration (MBA), with his dissertation nearing completion.
Prior to joining Cederberg Municipality, Mr. Booysen served as CFO at Kannaland Municipality.
"I am excited to join the Cederberg team," said Mr. Booysen. "My vision for the municipality is centered around achieving long-term financial sustainability and upholding clean governance. I look forward to working closely with the municipal team to ensure a stable financial future for our community."
Cederberg Municipality's leadership expressed confidence in Mr. Booysen's expertise and commitment to driving financial excellence.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jerome Booysen to our executive team," said Gerrit Matthyse, Municipal Manager. "His extensive experience and passion for good governance will undoubtedly strengthen our financial management and contribute to the municipality's growth."
Mr. Booysen's appointment is effective 1 October 2024. The municipality looks forward to his valuable contributions and leadership in achieving its financial goals.
