NOTICE: MONTH TO MONTH LEASE AGREEMENT PORTION OF THE COMMONAGE OF ERF 168,

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 16 (1)(a) of the “Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000”

In terms of Section 16 (1)(a)(v), the Municipality is obligated to inform the local community with regards to strategic decisions relating to the provision of municipal services in terms of Chapter 8,

(b) contribute to building the capacity of –

(i) the local community to enable it to participate in the affairs of the municipality.

(ii) councillors and staff to foster community participation

The Municipality invites all interested parties to comment on the intention to enter a month to month  lease agreement with Lambert’s Bay Vissers Primary Cooperative Ltd, 29 St Mark Street, Lambert’s Bay for the processing of kelp.  Any proposals and inputs made will be considered during the process before it is approved by Cederberg Municipality.

Written comments in this regard, if any, must be submitted no later than Thursday, 9 April 2026 to the address below. (for attention: The Municipal Manager).

Kennis word hiermee gegee in terme van Artikel 16(1)(a) van die “Local Goverment:  Municipal Systems Act, 2000”.

In terme van Art 16(1)(a)(v), word die Munisipaliteit verplig om die plaaslike gemeenskap in kennis te stel van strategiese besluite met betrekking tot die lewering van munisipale dienste in terme van Hoostuk 8,

(b) bydrae tot die opbou van kapasiteit van -

(i) die plaaslike gemeenskap om hulle in staat te stel om deel te neem in die bedrywighede van die munisipaliteit;

(ii) raadslede en amptenare om gemeenskap deelname te bevorder

Die Munisipaliteit rig hiermee ’n uitnodiging aan alle belanghebbende partye om kommentaar te lewer op die be sluit om ’n maand tot maand huurooreenkoms te sluit met Lambertsbaai Vissers Primêre Korporasie Bpk,  St Markstraat 29, Lambertsbaai vir die verwerking van bamboes.  Enige voorstelle en insette wat gelewer word sal oorweeg word  alvorens dit deur Cederberg Munisipaliteit goedgekeur word.

Skriftelike kommentaar in hierdie verband, indien enige, moet nie later nie as Donderdag, 09 April 2026 by onderstaande adres  ingedien word. (vir aandag:  Die Munisipale Bestuurder).
